Prominente, throughout the years, has received numerous prizes and awards, both from organizations in the IT industry (which have granted us the highest awards) and from other top leading global organizations (which have acknowledged us for the quality of our products and services, our corporate evolution and our involvement with the community). Thanks to our team’s commitment and our constant search for “optimum service”, we have made it to the most exclusive lists and rankings of the industry, a privilege reserved only to a handful of players in the region. According to the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals, IAOP (2009 and 2010), we are among the top 100 Outsourcing Providers at global level.
IAOP was born with the mission of adding value to clients, consultants and providers within the outsourcing arena through the creation of world-wide recognized standards which may perfect outsourcing management. In order to provide clients with quality information for the accomplishment of efficient decision-making, IAOP annually elaborates the IT industry’s reference ranking which includes the world’s top 100 outsourcing providers, thus displaying the list of factors which set the standards for best practices and reach the best results within the industry. Prominente was distinguished twice consecutively by IAOP in 2009 and 2010, ranked in the 92nd and 81st positions respectively, which represents one of the highest leaps within the overall ranking, including the leading organizations in the analysis. This leaves Prominente as one of the “Rising Stars” (the category which includes positions 75 to 100 and recognizes newcomers to the industry arena), with best growth and evolution potentials. We are a Founding Member of the “Global Growth Companies Community” created within the 2007 World Economic Forum.
In 2007 Prominente was chosen within the “World Economic Forum” as one of the 142 Founding Members of the “Global Growth Companies Community” (the WEF is an organization created in Davos, Switzerland, aimed at becoming a guideline regarding economic, political and business thinking of the 21st century, which celebrates its annual meeting each January). The Community includes a select group of fresh global companies which, according to WEF and on account of their commitment to service, their innovative spirit and their extraordinary growth had accomplished to establish a new set of global competitive rules. BEING A PART of this important community allowed us to access a vast experience pool in our search for optimizing our corporate performance within the international arena, and to consequently generate a network platform to strengthen our connections with the world.
Best Company to Work for - Apertura Magazine (2007, 2008 and 2009)
Over the last three years Prominente has been distinguished by the prestigious Apertura magazine of Argentina as one of the best 30 places to work for within the 200 to 1,000 employee category, being the only IT services provider to be included in the list. This distinction adds up to the top-rating earned from the IAOP in the “talent management” segment. The provision of an efficient service, whether transformational or operational, is based, among other features, on being able to manage the appropriate talent pool for each given challenge or need. The dynamics of the IT market demands constant training and updating, as well as a working environment which promotes commitment and excellence while respecting diversity.
One of the top 10 IT Services Providers in Latin America, according to Global Services (2009)
In 2009, Global Services Consulting firm, an American organization with global outreach dedicated to providing consulting services to businesses which are seeking to start or improve their outsourcing activity, included Prominente as one of the top 10 providers in the region.
Excellence Award to the best technology solution for the private sector, granted by the World Information Society Alliance (2010).
Within the framework of the “17th World Congress on Information Technology” held in Amsterdam (Netherlands) in May 2010, Prominente was granted the Excellence Award by the World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) for its Monedero Solution. The “World Information Technology and Services Alliance” is the organization gathering the world’s software and IT services chambers. Seventy-four chambers from seventy-four different countries are represented by WITSA, which organizes the “World Congress on Information Technology” once every two years, bringing together the most important personalities and organizations linked to the sector. Within that framework, WITSA grants three awards: to the best private sector solution, to the best public sector solution and to the best digital inclusion project (the Digital Opportunity Award). The cases are proposed by each country’s chamber. For the 2010 edition, WITSA presented a team of seventeen experts from five continents, which received and evaluated 130 cases submitted within the three categories. After their review some of those 130 cases were picked up for a third and final selection round in which the 74 delegates from each of the countries composing WITSA voted. In 2010, the Public Sector Award was granted to the United States, for US President Barack Obama’s Open Government Initiative and to South Korea’s Seoul Metropolitan Government, on account of its technological evolution. Within the private sector category, Prominente received the ICT Excellence award for the development and implementation of Monedero, a micro-payment solution, thus becoming the first company throughout the entire Latin America region to be distinguished with an ICT award at the “World Congress on Information Technology”.
