A solution developed for a leading company in Argentina and Latin America operating in the Engineering and Construction industry over 100 years of experience and operations in 7 different countries.
Our customer was the successful bidder for the Urban Public Transport concession in the city of Neuquén, involving the collection, payment and sale of bus tickets and bus travel card coupons over a 10-year period as of the effective date of the contract. To this end, it was necessary to develop a solution to manage the services of collection, payment and sale of tickets and travel coupons relating to the Public Bus Transportation System of the city. Cash management (clearing) and fund information management was requested from all the actors involved in the system. The participating parties had different needs to fulfill: ● Transport company: operational information, collection system management information, as well as management of the corresponding funds (cash and equity). • Municipality: Information for the control and management of the transportation system of the city. Transfers of the associated Transportation Trust Funds. Service monitoring and audit reports. User satisfaction as regards the collection system efficiency. Tools to carry out a systematic management of municipal inspectors. Successful Bidder: Monedero solution Back Office Systems, integrated with the necessary applications required to operate the service concession.
In order to meet the abovementioned requirements, the Monedero solution was integrated with the applications managed by the Public Transportation System of Neuquen City, contemplating coverage of the following functionalities: Issue and Distribution of period travel cards/passes.
